There are rare exceptions, but whether you file a waiver, or a waiver AND an I-212 you simply get a waiver in return. That's why I tell clients to wait. Its an extra $930USD for the exact same waiver.

Please note, I have previously applied for the I-192 waiver through E-safe which took 10 days to get a 5 year approval. Last year I was "removed" from the US for an overstay which is why I now also need the I-212 waiver.
My question: It's been 20 days since "submitted to ARO". Will the process take longer because I require both waivers? Would they both be approved or denied at the same time, or are they completely separate from one another? Just curious if anyone has any experience with the submission of both waivers.

This is a client who had his waiver denied. Serious record.
I am posting it to give everyone an idea of a timeline. They asked him for additional documents, he replied, then today we have a decision. Notice June 21st fingerprinted at the border, and it took almost 3 months to gather documents needed.
After that, 29 days for an answer.

My most recent waivers, notice the last 3 are faster than the 20 days I had been seeing. Trend? 21 days, 17, 14, and 13 days. So these 4 seem to indicate its getting faster again.

I am not sure if this is a fluke, or the beginning of a trend. I will see when more come in. Only 13 days from Fingerprints to 5 year waiver.
This is a re-application, and a client who got a 1 year before the pandemic. Now she has a 5 year.

These 2 are very different but granted recently.
The top one is his 4rth waiver, 3rd 5 year. Simple minor offence from the 80's Note the timeline is 25 days from fingerprints being done.
The bottom one is a long time client who had VERY serious charges and in 2010 was rejected for a waiver. He had a sentence of 12 years for making Meth n the United States. We waited, re-applied before the pandemic, 1 year waiver. He re-applied and now has his 5 year waiver. 27 days for him.
I am now telling clients about 25-30 days from fingerprints to completion.
