Handing in Waivers -Quarantine and timelines - Post here

Post real application stories here. Not "A guy told me" or "a few of my clients" but specific client experiences so others can see accurately what is happening.

There are rare exceptions, but whether you file a waiver, or a waiver AND an I-212 you simply get a waiver in return. That's why I tell clients to wait. Its an extra $930USD for the exact same waiver.

Sorry, that was meant for the response below

I appreciate the sentiment. I do get nuggets of information back, which helps me help others, sometimes people ask me not to "display" it but part of my reason for being here is to get experiences others get, who are not my clients. For example, many people here apply for waivers that they never would have applied for if they had talked to me. Then they share the letter rejecting their application, and I learn information from it. So although it is not always evident, I do TAKE as well as give.
The woman who appealed and was successful (got a 6 month waiver) was a big deal for me. She was VERY reluctant to share (the letter she got actually told her not to share) and was a bit shy, but she DID, and she said it was because she appreciated the free advice.

But please do not take this as criticism. I appreciate the thought and I get a lot out of feeling appreciated. So thank you. Made my day, it really did.

@Hans

Yes the site says 6-12 months because people are probably driving them crazy with inquiries. The truth is exactly what is getting posted. Just over 4 months is ACCURATE, right now. I do think like last summer it could slow a bit.

Companies and Government agencies say what will stop people from calling. I understand people are coming here for ACCURACY. Right now December 21-23 people who went to the border with waivers that are straight forward are getting them now.

What I cannot see if the VOLUME is trending. To be honest my workload is pretty steady all year round. So Homeland Security might be seeing a spike of applications leading up to summer, that I cannot see. Or, they may be ANTICIPATING a spike because of last year. In truth I think last year was unique because covid was over, and people who had not applied for a couple of years suddenly all applied, and lots more people were caught at the border because people were dying to travel.

There is a thread where a very smart person showed you could tell how many waivers were in the pipeline by the codes when you fil through eSAFE. Last June I think we were already up to 22k already just in 2022. (I may have the details wrong)

@Tiffany if only the people who asks all these questions to Rogers would give him the work. He should start charging a partial fee for all these people giving the big shot lawyers their money and then coming here to get information they can’t get for their thousands of dollars spent. I’m not against people asking questions as it relates to timeline etc but all the people saying that they found the site after applying and will use him next time. People just love everything for free. He needs to start charging like Michelle. Yes I said it.

@jrogers.

I logged into esafe today tp work on my application and now it says it can take 6-12months. Do you think this is accurate for someone applying this week.

Thank Ou

@Src I remembered reading a comment where JRogers told you to be careful and keep your visit’s short since your reason for needing a waiver is because of an over stay!

Tiffany replied 11 months ago   #958

@Src you want to extend your stay after getting bar for overstaying? I’m sure most people who overstayed say it wasn’t intentional but if you’re admitted for 6 months for example and wants to extend your stay, I believe they’d certainly question your intentions on visiting the US.

@J Rogers

Any thoughts on applying for an EOS after being admitted with an I-192 waiver?

The waiver was for a 3 year bar for an unintentional overstay during the pandemic border shutdown. The current family situation is the issue. If a phone call is better to discuss, please inform. Thank you very much!

Src replied 11 months ago   #956

@Kev Inadmissable due to 3 convictions. B&E with Intent, Use of disguise with intent and Failure to appear.

Skuiggles replied 11 months ago   #955

@J Rogers ok. Thank you again for your response.

@Waitingforwaiver

Oh, I think I understand. I really don't know what was in place before I started doing waiver. Before 9/11 it was much different. You did 2-3 waive3rs, all 1 year and then they gave you a "Border Crossing Card" which was permanent.

J Rogers replied 11 months ago   #953

@Kev I submitted on October 19th and my waiver was approved on February 22nd. I started to panic when I saw the 21st and nothing. A day later it came around noon. It’s coming.

Marsha replied 11 months ago   #952

@Skuiggles
it’s very hard to stay positive I need to book by this weekend, that may jeopardize my work at the end.

What were the reason of you inadmissibility?

Kev replied 11 months ago   #951

@J Rogers I didn’t know the program was around for a long time hence the reason why I asked.. I was curious as if you knew if there were other options available for people who were inadmissible before the waiver option existed but thank you for your response.

Waitingforwaiver replied 11 months ago   #950

@Kev Yea, still nothing for me either. Stay positive man.

Skuiggles replied 11 months ago   #949

DAMN, I submit to ARO on the 19th and no news something definitely went wrong

@Waitingforwaiver

I started in 1993. Waiver have always existed.

I don't understand your question. If Canadian did not apply for waivers, they would simply cut admin staff or reassign them I assume.

J Rogers replied 11 months ago   #946

@J Rogers has the US entry waiver program been around for a long time? I often wonder what happens to people who are inadmissible to the US if they suddenly stop the program. I’m just curious

[ Waitingforwaiver appended this reply on May 1, 2023 @ 3:38 pm ]

What would happen to people

Waitingforwaiver replied 11 months ago   #945

E-SAFE website now stating 6-12 months? This is insane...

Christina replied 11 months ago   #944

@SarahB

Sorry, I was actually putting it on here because a person posted that someone claimed to have a waiver despite getting a ban in 2022. Another poster challenged them (understandably) and I was showing an example from today that was similar.

I should have put more context.

J Rogers replied 11 months ago   #943

@J Rogers I don’t understand what this comment is about really. I honestly didn’t get much from it.
