Post real application stories here. Not "A guy told me" or "a few of my clients" but specific client experiences so others can see accurately what is happening.

There are rare exceptions, but whether you file a waiver, or a waiver AND an I-212 you simply get a waiver in return. That's why I tell clients to wait. Its an extra $930USD for the exact same waiver.

Sorry, that was meant for the response below

They asked for more fingerprints under the Privacy act.
He used a fake passport to try and enter the US from the Bahamas. I assume they want to see if he has a criminal record that has been sealed

@J Rogers I'm still waiting from October 19th, 2023

The CHI replied 3 months ago   #2006

Just for those people stressed out about their waivers.

I have a client who went to the border on November 16th. He is coming off 2 -1 year waivers. He does have a sexually based offence from 1996 but it is more an allegation than anything else. Anyways, despite 2 waivers previous, he is still waiting.

The point is, there seems to be 2 lineups right now. One seems to be dedicated to looking at waivers paid in late March before the fee goes up, and the other seems to have a combo of Nov-Dec-Jan-Feb

Again this is what i am seeing, not something I know for a fact. But it makes sense based on the data.

Have a good long weekend, I will be back Tuesday.

@Job222628 She had recent charges that were withdrawn. So it became complicated.

J Rogers replied 3 months ago   #2003

@J Rogers was this a complicated waiver?

Job222628 replied 3 months ago   #2002

Hello, I obtained a 1-year tourist waiver last June. However, I must request a waiver for e2 spouse, my wife already having her visa. Does anyone know anything about this type of waiver? Who should I contact? THANKS

Mark2021 replied 3 months ago   #2001

@J Rogers Was this a complicated application? what was the situation? It took almost a year and a half from start to finish- First time applicant?
Why only 1 year?

The CHI replied 3 months ago   #2000

@March2024 I'm a re-app still waiting from November.

Skuiggles replied 3 months ago   #1998

Just for comparison purposes. This is a Re-application, pretty straight forward, still not granted. We have Aprils in, even 1 May, but still plenty of January, Feb Marches. Also some before Christmas as well, although my assumption is that they are with a supervisor. Anyways, its an inexact science right now, but it is "generally" getting faster, so that is helpful.

One thing to keep in mind is that April 1 was the deadline for the fee increase, so I assume there were a TON of waivers done not only by me, but by other organizations as well. Over the course of the Easter Long weekend, I finished off with my staff a few hundred waivers, which means I do expect that there will be a period of high volume waivers, (right now they seem to be doing them) and then it should speed up significantly once they pass the waivers PAID for in March.
