There are rare exceptions, but whether you file a waiver, or a waiver AND an I-212 you simply get a waiver in return. That's why I tell clients to wait. Its an extra $930USD for the exact same waiver.

Great question! Glad to see everyone is getting the concept of "why".
Suspended sentence, probation 12 months is what the record says.
BUT, there was a restitution for 86 THOUSAND dollars. (its not visible on the record) And she has PROOF she paid it. This is a single mom BTW and the fact she was determined to pay every cent speaks volumes.
5 year waiver. Had a 1year and then re-applied.
2015 Fraud Over.

My waiver approval timeline.
Third waiver application for fraud and misrepresentation.
Submitted to ARO August 23rd, 2022.
Waiver approval was received on December 15th, 2022. (B1/B2)
This time I requested a TN visa on top of B1/B2 but ARO only approved for B1/B2 status. I provided all the required documents for my TN but I am assuming it is denied. The reason was not provided just received standard computerized approval for only B1/B2.
Anyone who faced this situation please share.

Let me now lecture you Conservative voters.
This client was convicted in the Stephen Harper era. He was shot in the face. Spent 8 months in hospital. His friend gave him a gun because he was so traumatized. It was in a box in his car for FOUR days. He was arrested when the guy who gave him the gun told police (because he was arrested)
Stephen Harper had just introduced MANDATORY US style sentencing. The Judge had no choice but to give him 2 full years. Remember, no prior record, gun for 4 days.
He served his full sentence. Then the law was overturned because any idiot knows we have a Charter of Rights and Freedoms because the judge can then use common sense. So this guy lost 2 years of his life, so white angry bitter people could vote for a party to be "tough on crime" KNOWING they were breaching the Charter, but the law led to a SLEW of donations and the support of Police everywhere.
He got a September Letter and I am SO happy for him. Remember people, when you vote, it MATTERS who you vote for. This isn't some statistics. This is a real guy with a real life and hopes and dreams that were destroyed by Stephen Harper, because Harper was desperate to make the crime rate go up, because consultants had pointed out "people vote Conservative when they are scared".
Canadians should be about compassion. Please educate yourself on the issues and vote for people who care about others. Not Oil company stooges who use dog whistle racism to convince people that "Conservatives care about them". They do NOT. Lecture completed.
