Handing in Waivers -Quarantine and timelines - Post here

Post real application stories here. Not "A guy told me" or "a few of my clients" but specific client experiences so others can see accurately what is happening.

There are rare exceptions, but whether you file a waiver, or a waiver AND an I-212 you simply get a waiver in return. That's why I tell clients to wait. Its an extra $930USD for the exact same waiver.

Sorry, that was meant for the response below

Sorry June 14th, not 16th.

Replies (recent first):

My attorney had submitted application on 29 Aug, 2023 and curious to know if first waiver will be attached (still long way to go) to my email or will require to be downloaded by Attorney from the portal?
I am very eager (same as others) to receive.

@casper thank you! You can print it right from the email? Is it attached?

Hayls1990 replied 3 months ago   #1378

once you print it off you are ready to go

casper replied 3 months ago   #1377

I’m not sure if anyone has the answer to this but once you get the email that your waivers ready are you able to use it immediately? Based on these dates my husbands should come like 2 days before we head to Florida , will it be useable right away ? This is his first waiver . Thank you !

@Slate
For certain offences, sexually based being the obvious example, ongoing counselling or counselling AFTER you finished the court mandated is VERY important.

Time is absolutely necessary as well though. No time, then all the other factors do not matter. If you have "time" then the other factors have a chance.

J Rogers replied 3 months ago   #1372

Does ARO take into account targeted counseling for an extended period when applying for a waiver? Or is it really passage of time which carries the most weight in their decision?

Slate replied 3 months ago   #1371

Waiver denied. Sexually based offence
2011 15 month conditional sentence probation 30 months.
Tier I offender.

Sexually based offences are not IMPOSSIBLE, but they are DIFFICULT.
