There are rare exceptions, but whether you file a waiver, or a waiver AND an I-212 you simply get a waiver in return. That's why I tell clients to wait. Its an extra $930USD for the exact same waiver.

@Slate
For certain offences, sexually based being the obvious example, ongoing counselling or counselling AFTER you finished the court mandated is VERY important.
Time is absolutely necessary as well though. No time, then all the other factors do not matter. If you have "time" then the other factors have a chance.
Waiver denied. Sexually based offence
2011 15 month conditional sentence probation 30 months.
Tier I offender.
Sexually based offences are not IMPOSSIBLE, but they are DIFFICULT.

They had asked for 2 things, and one of them was an I-212. When you submit an I-212 usually you then submit proof you went to the border so they can start adjudicating right away. But they had also asked for court documents, and because you only have 1 submission you can make, I provided both at the same time and they obviously missed the I-212 submission. When the 87 days is over, they then looked, saw it had been submitted, then realized that although we responded, they wanted more info.
Its a highly unusual case, and unusual response.
I see that on that application it took over 87 days but they ended up still responding with request for more info ? What’s that about @J Rogers

9 / 18 to 12 / 15 is 89 days
This client has a serious manslaughter conviction form the US. They have asked for both the I-212 and more information, including court.
When we sent it, they asked for more. I just wanted to point out a timeline when more information is asked for.
