Anyone know how long processing times for I-192 using the E-Safe process?

Replies (recent first):

I wanted to share that my waiver application has been approved. It took a total of 106 days

9/28/2022: Status changed to Completed
6/14/2022: Status changed to Submitted to ARO
6/4/2022: Application Created/Signed/Paid

This is my first waiver and I was given a one year waiver.

For those of you that continue to track…. Don’t lose hope.

@skumar

If the waiver was approved on the 15th, that is a weekday. I think she meant to say she got the email on the 17th, (meaning found it on that date) but it must have been sent on the 15th. They send it immediately, and never on weekends.

@LKand

Congratulations! 5 years is awesome....

@LKand Congratulations.

This is great news. So, basically we can get approval over the weekend too sometimes (like your case).

I think the result is currently taking 100 days since our biometrics at the border.

Submitted on June 9th. Received email on Sept 17th with 5 yrs approval dated Sept 15th. 2nd waiver
Special thanks to @JRogers. I submitted esafe application on my own but John helped me with all the questions in the forum and also over the phone.

@Ope

In times like these, where people are desperate for info and they are slow, I try and post them as they come in. But I post them in the other thread.

I understand how frustrating it is, so I try to keep the updates as current as possible.

J Rogers replied 1 year ago   #233

@ Anyone sharing the good news today?

@JRogers:

Do you share weekly updates on E-Safe Processing times or do you just post randomly as time permits knowing how busy you are?

Ope replied 1 year ago   #232

@Sophia

Never apply for the court documents again, they don't need to be changed. In 2 years you should get new prints and refresh the other documents. Bring them up to date.

J Rogers replied 1 year ago   #231

@J Rogers sorry what i meant is since i applied through esafe i have all documents i used saved on my laptop. So basically all i need to do is finger prints or should i request court documents again even tho i have them saved

Sophia replied 1 year ago   #230

@Sophia

Same process, but really worry about that about 6 months before hand. I know they will speed up. But if you really want to be careful 8 months before.

J Rogers replied 1 year ago   #229

@J Rogers what would be the process to renew? i want to start the renewal process as soon as i can so i dont go without my paper ever again

Sophia replied 1 year ago   #228

@Marsha thank youuuuu and no problem hun anytime❤️

Sophia replied 1 year ago   #227

@Sophia congratulations Girly and thanks so much again for connecting with me last week. I’m super happy for you!

@Sophia

That is a really good question. I never see that UNLESS the person doesn't put the work in.

For example, I have a client who doesn't want to do a drug test/dr's letter for his waiver. He has a 5 year now and a narcotics conviction. If he now getsa a shorter waiver, we know it is because of that. But I have also seen waivers where the person was given a shorter waiver because they just photocopied everything. The shoddier that work, the more likely you might get a reduced waiver.

It could also be some of the documents didn't scan. Maybe the personal letter was too vague. Maybe they even thought the 5 was a reach in the first place?

Its impossible to tell but 2 year waivers are VERY rare.

Got my waiver after 107 days.
Im so happy but wondering why they gave me two years instead if 5 this is my third waiver last one was 5 years. I dont really care im just ready to go shopping :) good luck guys

Sophia replied 1 year ago   #224

@J Rogers Thank you sir! I will definitely share the happy ending

JohnB2 replied 1 year ago   #223

@J Rogers @skumar got it. Thanks.

Tiffany replied 1 year ago   #222

@Tiffany I mean "biometrics" at the border like J Rogers correctly inferred.

We get an email from CBP stating that our application was submitted to ARO.

I saw the following line in that email stating:

The Admissibility Review Office is in receipt of your application. Please allow 120 calendar days before inquiring about the status of your application.

My understanding is if your application is submitted more than 120 calendar days ago, your emails/enquiries will be answered by a person as opposed to a standard automated response you get until then. So, I was suggesting @Patientlywaiting416 to write directly to aro office at aro.inquiry.waiver@cbp.dhs.gov and know more specific reasons of what is going on.

skumar replied 1 year ago   #221

@Tiffany
They mean since "biometrics at the border" not "RCMP prints".

@JohnB2
Thank you for the kind words, and I am glad I could help. I always try and remember that every waiver client has a story, is a human being, and is TRUSTING me to help. With Pardon and Waiver companies in most cases taking the "easy" road, I try hard to be different and add some real expertise. I like helping Canadians make smart decisions, and I hope everyone knows I am always willing to help, and listen.

Thank you for sharing your story. The HUMAN side of these stories are what I remember. Please let us know when she gets the green card etc, so we can all for a minute at least, share in a happy ending.
