TIMELINES FOR WAIVERS ONLY.

J Rogersposted 1 year ago

Because MANY people log on here to see timelines, not discussions, lets keep THIS thread ONLY for timelines. Then people don;t have to sift through to find out how long they are taking. I was trying to amend the old one but it got deleted, so I saved the last page, and added a bit to it. My apologies if you were looking for old info. The page was getting spammed all the time and had a lot of comments on it.

As for the timeline......when the fees went up the backlog slowed these applications down. That backlog is GONE. They could get every application they have done by Thanksgiving if they want. They do NOT want then done quickly. If this seems like "why would they do that?" then you aren't paying attention. Notice Canada has tariffs for made up reasons, and we have been threatened by Annexation. Notice Russia has not a SINGLE TARIFF. Notice Trump met with Putin in Alaska and got embarrassed. And STILL his "friends" have tariffs and the Russians.....nothing.

sorry everyone, my mistake, this is his FIRST waiver. Not a re-application.

Replies (recent first):

@willbill

40% of applicants get a 5 year waiver (thats appoximate) in their first application. This is down from a high of 80% under Biden. I watch the trends carefully, based on the data I have. But if you have a very old record, and its a decently done waiver, you can get a 5 year. I have September Letters which I have posted....these were all first time applicants.

Have you heard of any cases where once the individual has a letter they still don’t let them in?

@Doink the clown

No, read it again. His lawyer when asked about MY timelines, didn't understand them, and said they were probably "untrue". I was pointing out that shows he does not know what he is doing/talking about. Go read it again.

I am getting in February's now, so February 28 should be soon. I think before the end of January 2026.

The 2018 guy, I think you waited long enough to try, if it was a solid application, you should get at least a 1 year waiver. (Mopar11) this was for you.

J Rogers replied 3 months ago   #354

@Mopar11 I applied Feb ntn yet

Jon Johnson replied 3 months ago   #353

@ronny5 how do you know the timeline I’m on my 12 month now 1st application and I havnt got jt I applied Feb 8 2025 weird

Jon Johnson replied 3 months ago   #352

@Mopar11

You should have a pretty good ability to obtain a waiver - a waiver valid for 1 year. It will cost you $1100 for the application, paid to DHS.

You should also show evidence you've gone to rehab and clean drug test results to make your waiver case stronger.

It will take 12 months for you to get your waiver because this is your first waiver. You should most likely be getting your waiver early Feb.

@J Rogers
I was a nexus memeber I was pulled into secondary because of a vacuum seal bag in my trunk which looked suspicious and further my phone was searched and they found messages of me trying to obtain drugs so I got banned because I admitted to using drugs, no charges no criminal record, banned for life and nexus taken away, do you think I have a chance of getting approved? This was in 2018.

I have a really good job got married and bought a home among a few other things I included in my letter.

I’m a bit antsy I seen the timelines my biometrics were done February 28 2025 basically march which batch do you think I would approved in march or late February?

Thank you in advance

Mopar11 replied 3 months ago   #350

Hello Mr. Rogers, I have a question. In your experience, if someone has tried to go to the United States and has been refused entry because of their criminal record, is their case processed for a waiver longer than that of someone who has never been refused entry? Thank you.

Arthurtherock replied 3 months ago   #349

Guy asked a question and he said his lawyer is trash lol this guys funny lol what a fool

Doink the clown replied 3 months ago   #348

@J Rogers Thank you so much for doing this.
I can see that you’re a top-notch professional, yet people who don’t know anything about this come here every day to challenge or minimize the information you provide, what a waste.
I truly believe the information you post makes sense. It’s the same as when I went through the Canadian immigration process: everything seemed all over the place, but there was always a pattern.
I think, moving forward, the waiver processing time may be faster, given that many Canadians are no longer traveling to the U.S., but this doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going to happen

willbill replied 3 months ago   #347

@Chino Varges

You actually posted this

February’s but after asking my lawyer he told me probably untrue

How can you say this when this is an ACTUAL person?

1 year waiver

12/23/2025, 11:33 AM : Status changed to Completed
02/12/2025, 08:30 PM : Status changed to Submitted to ARO

The went to the border February 12 and got their waiver December 23. Your lawyer thinks I am faking hundreds of waiver results....that take 11 months?

Its got TIMES. The timeline makes SENSE.

12/16/2025, 07:33 AM : Status changed to Completed
01/14/2025, 01:30 AM : Status changed to Submitted to ARO

Here is one where they went to the border on January 14 and got their waiver December 16th. 11 months. See where we get that number? Now show your incompetent lawyer and he will know as much as you do.
