There are rare exceptions, but whether you file a waiver, or a waiver AND an I-212 you simply get a waiver in return. That's why I tell clients to wait. Its an extra $930USD for the exact same waiver.

Sorry June 14th, not 16th.
@Submitted Feb8th2024 Congrats. What was it like waiting and do you mind sharing what were your charges? I wonder why it took awhile if this was your 5th waiver
You were bang on!! I received my 5 year waiver today--my 5th waiver overall
Really appreciate the information.

2 year waiver.
He had a 1 year. Then re-applied. I am hoping this does not become a pattern. I have had 2 like this now, usually a 1 year is followed by a 5 year.

Do Homeland Security give FP appointments for weekends or odd hours? Or is it anywhere between 9 to 6 pm (or whatever specific)? If someone can share about their normal timing guidelines for FP appointments that will be very useful.
Last time I was lucky as they attended me without appointment.

@cal123 I’m no expert here but when I did fingerprinting for my renewal, I had to exit the US and enter from Canada - even though my current waiver was still valid.
The officer was more casual since my waiver was valid and didn’t care about whether I returned to Canada or USA afterwards though I was told I had to present myself at the border from the Canadian side.
@cal123 I don't think you can fingerprint like that, but I also can't be 100% sure. I would email Homeland Security for guidance of call the port of entry you want to use. This comes up from time to time so please post whatever you find out. There are many waiver holders who are legally in the US on different visas and I would like to get accurate information when asked.
