Post real application stories here. Not "A guy told me" or "a few of my clients" but specific client experiences so others can see accurately what is happening.

There are rare exceptions, but whether you file a waiver, or a waiver AND an I-212 you simply get a waiver in return. That's why I tell clients to wait. Its an extra $930USD for the exact same waiver.

Sorry, that was meant for the response below

Sorry June 14th, not 16th.

Replies (recent first):

@Submitted Feb8th2024 Congrats. What was it like waiting and do you mind sharing what were your charges? I wonder why it took awhile if this was your 5th waiver

@J Rogers
The 5 year Feb submission you received earlier this week - were they a renewal with a 5 year previously?

I want to say it’s too soon to say the 1 year — > 2 years are a pattern.

Fingers crossed!

Ana replied 1 month ago   #2256

2 year waiver.
He had a 1 year. Then re-applied. I am hoping this does not become a pattern. I have had 2 like this now, usually a 1 year is followed by a 5 year.

@J Rogers looks like they still are in January.

Loisgh replied 1 month ago   #2254

2 year waiver - this client previously had a 1 year waiver.

Partly this is because he had a Peach Bond that ended 2022

6 convictions from 2008-20014 Robbery drugs.

John Rogers is the BEST. I can't say that enough.

@cal123 Rainbow Bridge and all Buffalo Bridges need an appointment. 716-843-8521 and no weekends. They seem to be mostly 8am-9pm Monday to Thursday and 8am-1pm Friday.

J Rogers replied 1 month ago   #2244

@Ana @J Rogers....Thanks

Do Homeland Security give FP appointments for weekends or odd hours? Or is it anywhere between 9 to 6 pm (or whatever specific)? If someone can share about their normal timing guidelines for FP appointments that will be very useful.

Last time I was lucky as they attended me without appointment.

@cal123 I’m no expert here but when I did fingerprinting for my renewal, I had to exit the US and enter from Canada - even though my current waiver was still valid.

The officer was more casual since my waiver was valid and didn’t care about whether I returned to Canada or USA afterwards though I was told I had to present myself at the border from the Canadian side.

Ana replied 1 month ago   #2242

@cal123 I don't think you can fingerprint like that, but I also can't be 100% sure. I would email Homeland Security for guidance of call the port of entry you want to use. This comes up from time to time so please post whatever you find out. There are many waiver holders who are legally in the US on different visas and I would like to get accurate information when asked.

J Rogers replied 1 month ago   #2241

Has anyone done FP at border from USA? I intend to do FP when in USA on first 1 year waiver. Or do I need to exit US, enter Canada to do FP at border?
