I have no idea why they would charge $500, and no application cost exactly $500.

No receipt? What are you going to do? Pay $500 every time you cross?

Just for information

My wife applied for i212 in 2023 and finally she was approved in January 2025, we decided to meet but she was scared to fly because of previous experience. I flown to the closet land border to Canada and stayed in the US while she cross the land border from her city. As expected she was asked for second inspection and they asked her many a questions and also asked for her reason to visit the States. She works for the government in Canada and holds a prestige job there and had all the necessary documents to make them understand that she will be coming back to Canada. We planned to meet for 14 days and she was given I94 for 3 weeks. Two weeks ago we decided to meet again and as usual she was ordered for second inspection as well. This time however she was asked to pay $500 to cross the border which I thought was weird as they didn't give out any receipt for the transaction and were only given 7 day entry. We were not in the position to ask any question as per CBP they can still denied entry and we went through hell in this last 3 years. This is just to let you guys know what we experienced in the last 2 months.

Those (with or without spouse?) who crossed the border please provide the feedback if Secondary was carried out and at which border. Did they cross examine Spouse also?

Hello, I submitted to ARO on May 1, 2024 and still waiting. It is my second waiver application, first one was a 1 year for drug trafficking and b&e from pre-2015 but was approved in March 2023-2024. Just expiring now and hoping to receive my second one soon!

As you can see, re-applications in September and first applications in April being processed most frequently right now.

I was hoping to get some new waivers form May. These are 2 re-applications, both from people who went to the border in....SEPTEMBER.

Makes no sense. I still have some April, all May, June July August.....why are they doing Septembers?

I am seeing more 1 and 2 year waivers. Many clients who re-apply after a 1 are getting 2 year waivers instead of 5 year waivers, although I am still seeing 1 to 5's and some people are getting 5 year waivers off the bat.

@Portfolio99 If they really have a problem with that, they will send you a letter asking for verification. The agency indicated they prepared the documents on the forms, correct?

So I doubt it will have a significant impact.

@J Rogers, After reviewing the completed i-192 document submitted by a fingerprinting agency via e-safe, I noticed an error indicating my marital status as single instead of divorced. The civil divorce settlement was included, but the court divorce document was omitted. I am concerned about the impact of this oversight, as it has been 12 months since the application was submitted.

1 year waiver

Second try, he had a conviction for videotaping sex with a minor and himself (he had no idea she was underage, she actually had her own apartment and he met her at a bar) and I am happy for the client, I didn't think they would give him a waiver. (especially now)

It also has the usual warning that he must contact local law enforcement to let them know he is in the country on the waiver.

@joolsjools don’t mean to be rude I think it’s great you’re maintaining this timeline but John had opened this specific chat for people to post time lines or trouble reaching the timelines I think if it’s a discussion about your worksheet you can open a new chat on the main page where people can see and explore that instead of on the chat specific for timelines instead of conversation as it’s bumping down the time lines people are posting You can certainly open a separate chat
