TIMELINES FOR WAIVERS ONLY.

J Rogersposted 1 year ago

Because MANY people log on here to see timelines, not discussions, lets keep THIS thread ONLY for timelines. Then people don;t have to sift through to find out how long they are taking. I was trying to amend the old one but it got deleted, so I saved the last page, and added a bit to it. My apologies if you were looking for old info. The page was getting spammed all the time and had a lot of comments on it.

As for the timeline......when the fees went up the backlog slowed these applications down. That backlog is GONE. They could get every application they have done by Thanksgiving if they want. They do NOT want then done quickly. If this seems like "why would they do that?" then you aren't paying attention. Notice Canada has tariffs for made up reasons, and we have been threatened by Annexation. Notice Russia has not a SINGLE TARIFF. Notice Trump met with Putin in Alaska and got embarrassed. And STILL his "friends" have tariffs and the Russians.....nothing.

5 year waiver
Note it was not granted today, but on January 16th. Also he has had multiple 5 year waivers before.
For those that are new, he went to the border (submitted to ARO) on October 14th. The waiver took 92 days and that includes Christmas as well.

You guys are saying all of this because you have never dealt with immigration.
This is how it works everywhere.
In Canada, the immigration process is even worse.
Unfortunately, this is how it works it’s never first come, first served. It depends on each case and on your background history, which can take forever for an officer to clear. Based on his timeline its an estimate how much your process is going to take and also if its close for you to have an update

If you look a Canadian immigration forum this is exactly the same way
If you applied on a certain date another person also applied on that date you If that person gets an updated you could also have yours at the same time its based on backlogs but you don't understand and feel entitle to judge someone jobs

I see it too it’s not fake timelines it’s just any timelines don’t matter everyone’s case is different

John Jameson replied 1 month ago   #376

@Garret Bridges same situation ima February too heard nothing I agree with what you said I think it’s officers disrection but don’t listen to anyone’s timelines cus realistically nobody knows when it’s going to come the ARO works at there own pace can’t speed them up and they won’t give you updates it’s kind of a jackass move of anyone here to guranteee any timelines even if you both applied on the same day doesn’t mean the same officer will look at it at the same time it’s all case based and whenever they get to it so you could be waiting 12- 18 months as I’m on the same boat so just sit and wait there’s nothing you can do this is hands down the most slowest and dumb process I ever been thru in my life I HATE IT

John Jameson replied 1 month ago   #375

@Garret Bridges similar situation waiting 13 months nothing shits stupid at this point any timeline given makes no difference it’s gonna come when it comes officers direction I guess I hate the process

Dumb replied 1 month ago   #374

Hey man this is my first time on this thread I went back some pages and looked at all the info on timelines and I’ve noticed you’ve said your on February’s my own situation 1st time applicant I applied Feb 11 2025 at the border I’ve heard nothing no updates anywhere I see 11-12 month mark I’m on the 12month and seen shit all pretty depressing to say the least just wondering anyone’s timelines for that .

Garret Bridges replied 1 month ago   #373

@Woah fake timelines

Haha replied 1 month ago   #372

@J Rogers
Does that mean renewal application shall be done prior to waiver expiry otherwise the application will be treated as new (that may take 11 months instead of 3 months)?

cal123 replied 1 month ago   #371

Yes. I let my last waiver lapse by accident. So guess it was consider completely new.

ALBIZ replied 1 month ago   #370

@ABIZ

Was there a gap? In between applications? Your application was in the "new apps line" from the look of the date. But if its your third the only reason I can think is that your waiver had expired a while ago. Please let us know.

J Rogers replied 1 month ago   #369

Received a 5 Year, (my third) That took awhile.

@Arthurtherock crazy I went Feb 11 and see nothing still this shit is pissing me off

Woah replied 1 month ago   #367

@J Rogers I see thanks for sharing your insight
But I don't think that's the case for Overstay right?

Willbill replied 1 month ago   #366

@willbill

40% of applicants get a 5 year waiver (thats appoximate) in their first application. This is down from a high of 80% under Biden. I watch the trends carefully, based on the data I have. But if you have a very old record, and its a decently done waiver, you can get a 5 year. I have September Letters which I have posted....these were all first time applicants.

Arthurtherock replied 1 month ago   #364

@Arthurtherock Wow
Never seen first time getting 5 years waiver
What was your conviction??

I had overstay waiting for an answer soon
Hopefully I get 5 year waiver as well

willbill replied 1 month ago   #363

Yes first time applying
Took 327 days
I was at the border February 20 2025

Arthurtherock replied 1 month ago   #362

@Arthurtherock Would you mind sharing your full timeline?

Is this your first waiver?
