What info to include in reapplication?

I got my first waiver (one year) about 6 months ago and seeing the huge backlog of waiver applications this summer I think I should start prepping my 2nd application soon. Can I just use a carbon-copy of my application but with updated rcmp report, dates and signatures? My first application was done by a lawyer so it included a legal "analysis" from the lawyer. I think I'll just be doing this one myself to save some money.

I have no criminal record. My initial ban was because of a TN visa overstay issue when I was switching employers in the U.S.

Replies (recent first):

I am hoping to get a 3 or 5 years waiver this time so I can move back under a new TN visa.

I actually don't know! The agents weren't very clear and I wasn't even sure if I had to do an i192 or i212. We ended up doing an i192 and it seemed to have worked. I first applied by myself around a year since it happened and it was rejected. I waited about 6 months more and had a lawyer help.
What happened was I was working for a U.S company under a TN visa and got a job offer with another company with a delayed start. I quit my job and kinda just chilled at home in SF for 4 months before doing a flagpole at the border to get my TN with the new employer. I characterized my overstay as a tourist and not an alien worker. That's when they gave me a ban for overstaying and visa fraud (??). All this happened because I was given bad advice by my employer's immigration team. I was told I could stay up to 6 months because that's the duration of a b1 visit. But because I was actually on a tn-1 the grace period for staying without employment is only 3 months.

I know the typical ban is only 3 years but the officer didn't really tell me how long the ban was.

@admt
Just curious… how long after you were initially banned did you apply for and get your first waiver?
