What I HATE about Homeland Security

J Rogersposted 6 months ago

A client had a misrepresentation. Born in Pakistan, Canadian Citizen. He applied for the waiver, was granted a September Letter on December 26 2023.

Tried to cross 2 days later at the Thousand Islands. The guy basically "didn't think he should have been issued the Letter" so embarrassed him in front of his friends and denied him. Obviously he was distraught.

He tried again at Niagara Falls this past Sunday. With his wife and kids. His wife had to literally beg these "officers" to stop treating her husband like shit. Denied him again.

I have had inept officers charge clients an extra $585 because they didn't understand eSAFE and then pretend it was the clients fault. That was a white 72 year old 3 time waiver guy. He paid TWICE. Then Homeland Security blamed HIM.

So Homeland Security wants to pretend "oh just be honest" and we will treat you with dignity and respect. BULLSHIT.

So all of you "oh, Homeland Security was nice to me so I believe everything that they say" people BEWARE.

Why are we BOTHERING to apply if Virginia renders a decision, and the Ports of Entry then decide they WON'T respect what their OWN BOSSES have decided?

Canada needs to STOP sharing information on Canadian Citizens if the United States is going to ACT UNFAIRLY. They can guess by "amount of tattoos" or some other way if they are going to not respect their own rules.

Stephen Harper did a HUGE disservice to all Canadians when he gave them enhanced access to CPIC. He got NOTHING in return and did it because Conservatives think "once a criminal, always a criminal". Think about that when you vote.

Replies (recent first):

@Sam 84 They VET them carefully before issuing the waiver, the border has LESS information than Virginia. Also they granted him a waiver and 2 days later Thousand Islands has a security update that Virginia doesn't? Makes no sense.

Perhaps Homeland Security has new information on the Pakistani attempting to enter the country. Let's not forget that an individual from the same country entered the US from Canada on September 11, 2001, to carry out the worst terrorist attack in history. Half of us (Trump voters) were in full support of the Muslim ban. If the man is denied entry, there must be a reason.

@casper Except I just explained that Stephen Harper gave Homeland Security unprecedented access to CPIC and more access to your personal information. I encourage debate, and you have a right to your opinion, as I do, but your comment makes NO SENSE. Please explain.

I have contacted my local MP about this. I will give the Liberals a chance to fix this. If not then NDP time and let them climb up the Libs asses. Another issue recently I am seeing is Sikh families, even children being denied because India has put them on some sort of "list". Because they are political or said something about a Sikh homeland.

No offence India, but I don't care about the issue, I care about Canadian Citizens being treated badly. Being in Brampton, with a HUGE South Asian community, this is becoming a big problem.
