WAIVER TIMELINE NOTICE - UPDATED JULY 20 2023

J Rogersposted 9 months ago

BEFORE MORE WAIVERS START TRICKLING IN - WAIVER TIMELINE NOTICE.

Waiver are now taking 5 months almost to the DAY after you go to the border.

So waiver timeline is as follows

Do fingerprints first. While they are coming in, gather documents.

Fingerprints arrive 2-4 weeks maximum right now, as of July 20 2023. ("no record" and women get prints faster than men or when there is a hit)

File all documents and pay on eSAFE. Make appointment or go to the border.

Form that DATE (at the border) count on it taking 5 months. The website SAYS 6-12 months, and the border guards will give you yet another timeline.

None of these are accurate.

I get my timelines from my clients, clients here, from colleagues, and clients I met at the airport. (When they were open)

If you have questions about timelines, you can contact me directly, 416-843-1371 via text or call.

I am just putting this here so people have a REALISTIC view of when they will get a waiver. Unless something changes, anyone handing in a waiver in August 2023 will not get a reply until at least January 2024. As well, eSAFE is the FASTEST method. If someone tries to tell you that they have a "different way" or my timelines are not accurate, PLEASE CALL ME. You are not being told the truth.

Have a great summer, and I will keep posting updates as waivers come in and adjust the waiver timeline if I see changes.

Hi, I noticed you posted 5 month turnaround last month. Is this still the case as of January 2024 or hast it been back up?

Benjamin replied 3 months ago   #8

@J Rogers do you need an appointment? No one is answering that number.

@Bob Jerkins

You call and make an appointment. And you must go to the port you put on your eSAFE application.
716-843-8521. There are only 3 ports in Buffalo, Rainbow Bridge, (Niagara Falls) Peace Bridge and Lewiston.

Okay what is the best place in niagara falls to use? I heard rainbow is the best. If so what time of day and what day of the week do you recommend?

@Bob Jerkins
first of all, make an appointment at your border crossing for waiver biometrics
drive to the border with all your e=safe info, passport, waiver etc and tell the agent your here for your waiver appointment .
he will take your paperwork and tell you where to park and you go in and wait for your name to be called.
they may ask a few questions but its more take your finger prints. I have heard they may take a DNA swab.
Then they gave me back my package and made me pay $6 for entering the US.

@Bob Jerkins

When you do eSAFE, you are just showing them the documents, they then decide if they will fingerprint you, take DNA, or do nothing. Then you go home.

At Niagara Falls, you make an appointment, so they are expecting you. And you simply drive up to the booth just like normal.

Why does no one talk about what happens at the border. When you go for your border biometrics, do you just cross the border in a car like normal or do you walk up instead? Then when there what questions are they asking you. Are they just looking at your documents or are they sort of interviewing you and running your record to see if everything matches. Then when you cross back what happens? I feel like no one talks about what happens at the actual border. Please let me know the entire process.
