Waiver 4 Prostitution

Chynaaposted 8 years ago

Hi guys, now this is a very sensitive topic but all these threads are anonymous. Has anyone received a waiver for prostitution , how long did you wait? And what are your thoughts in terms of success rates for this particular situation?

Prostitution is legal in Canada but not in America . I have no criminal convictions/charges any where in the world. I have never even been charged for prostitution but apparently having a sugar daddy/arrangement falls under the umbrella of prostitution. Please share your thoughts

Coming back to update anyone refused for this particular situation. Was refused entry for admitting to having a sugar daddy/ working in the entertainment industry in MAY of 2016, was eager and anxious so applied for my very first waiver practically right away JULY 2016. This waiver was DENIED DEC 2017. This waiver was also poorly done by Pardons Application of Canada. Left it alone did not try to appeal it , took the loss and WAITED. Fast forward got professional help from @John Rogers, applied again MAY 2019, making this my second attempt, WAIVER APPROVED AND RECEIVED JULY 2019 for 5 years. Took exactly 60 days on my second attempt. Did not have a criminal record and was never charged. For this particular offence it is highly looked down upon in the US and all you have to do is admit to have done it , even if it is something you did in your past, you can be banned. Did not know all of this information until after the fact of course. To anyone else waiting best advice is to get this professionally done and to WAIT at least 3-5 yrs after the fact.

@Angel , thank you so much for ur post and giving us hope ! Did u include any form of rehabilitation when u submitted the waiver ?

Nikki replied 5 years ago   #78

@Angel

I think it does because there are a couple of other people with the exact same charge who were waiting 5 years to apply, but maybe 3-4 is sufficient.

I was banned from entering the US in March 2014 for admitting to sex work as my profession.

I submitted my us entry waiver application on August 2018 and received my waiver on November 2018 for 1 year.

I still have 5 years left in my 10 year ban, so I’ll have to apply for another waiver.

Hope this helps.

to be honest you are doing the only thing you CAN do.

JOHN ROGERS replied 6 years ago   #73

@john Rogers
It’s been almost 2 years for me ( may 4th)
Do you think it would take longer meanwhile I’m e mailing and I’m still getting the same answer .
Do you have any advise what should I do
This waiting game is driving me crazy

Sarra toro replied 6 years ago   #72

I have seen waiver applications take up to two years but most people are getting an answer in 90 days or less.

JOHN ROGERS replied 6 years ago   #71

On may 4 th it will be 2 years since I’ve got denied entry in the states .
What’s the longest time it took someone to get in .
Also chyna did you re apply for your waiver ?

Sartoron replied 6 years ago   #70

Hi no not yet .,.,,

SAra tor replied 6 years ago   #69

Has anyone from this specific forum heard anything yet??

Chynaa replied 6 years ago   #68

I see . Well I’m sorry about that :(
I applied about 3 months after . And that only because my retarded lawyer made a mistake and it was returned . Or else it would had went trough less then a week after I got denied in the states.
I see so many people with criminal records getting in the states and you’re denied that’s in believable :(

Sara to replied 6 years ago   #67

@sarah torontoo

The letter for denial gives u no reason at all just has an attatchment that allows me to appeal their decision , im assuming it is cus i applied right away and that they beleive not enough time has gone by so i got advice and was told to wait one year before tryin again

Chynaa replied 6 years ago   #66

Omg @chynaa when did you get denied ?
What was written on the letter . Why are you not sending in your waiver now why wait till 2019??

Sara torontooo replied 6 years ago   #65

To everyone thats waiting for a waiver for prostitution , i got denied and i think its because not enough time has elapased , i will apply again in 2019

Chynaa replied 6 years ago   #64

I never did prostitution the officer told me I would be on the last flight if I said yes to section 212 I told him for 1 hour that I don’t understand what that means so I just said yes . Then he said you can’t enter for 4 months . In April it will be 2 years for me .
I don’t have a criminal record never had any issue with the law .
My parents are both US citizens . I never stayed in the states more then few weeks .

Prostitution is not actually considered a serious offence. The main concern is:

1) how long ago
2.) If it might still be going on. In other words, if allowed into the United States, would the person overstay, using this method to make money.
3.) Could the person be working for someone in the United States who is bringing them to the US to exploit them as a sex worker.

JOHN ROGERS replied 7 years ago   #62

@sarah toronto 1

I was told three months and im in the same boat as you. July will be two years.

& No offence to anyone but i specifically made this thread to help all the individuals that are waiting for waivers in regards to prostitution because theres no other thread on this forum where somone has mentioned getting an approved waiver for this particular offence.

It would be greatly appreciated if we can stay on topic , please form your own thread or post to the general “processing times” if your issue does not relate to this particular offence which has continously been the topic throughout this thread.

Thanks
