So my 5 year post conviction is coming up fast.... (Oct 15) and I'm antsy to get the waiver going.
That said ----- John & Michelle.... is there a benefit to starting the paperwork early? I know it takes time to pull court docs and put the packet together, but I would like to be able to submit in Oct / Nov if it looks like we can push my case through.
Also - I'm in Calgary, but can easily fly to Toronto if we think the application has a better likelyhood of going through. Honestly I'm more interested in speed (and a possible longer waiver)
John / Michelle - let me know a good time this week to reach out and contact numbers and I will give you both a call to go through the details. :)
John, thanks for the kind words...Jazz, I suggest you get your fingerprints done asap. I know that Edmonton Police is pre-booking appointments every Monday for 3 weeks in advance. I have not been able to get a fingerprint appointment for my client in over a month, even though I send a request first thing Monday morning. Maybe check with Calgary, as they might be the same way. You can call me at 306.205.2532 or text me at 306.531.8886. Thanks!
Remember that the fingerprints are valid for 15 months anyways. So you could get them done anytime you want.
I don't think it's going to be necessary for you to fly to Toronto to hand the waiver in, I assume that when the ports are open here, they will be open there, although Airports might be more problematic than actual border points.
Your closest to Michelle, and I won't be offended if you decide to use her, I know she will do an excellent job. She will also have better insight into what Calgary Airport NEEDS to hand in a waiver, since I rarely send anyone there.
I hope once you get a waiver finally you won't stop commenting for 5 years! lol
You can call me anytime at 416-843-1371.
