Hello everyone,
I'm working on my fourth waiver, and using the E-Safe platform this time around. I've got a few questions before I submit my application online. Everything seems pretty straight forward with this online application process, but I'm just wondering about next steps.
Once I submit my application, do I make an appointment at the crossing of my choosing (the same crossing that's on my application) to submit hard copies of everything as well as doing the biometrics? It says online that they're currently not accepting any in person I-192 submissions. I'm assuming they're referring to folks attempting to submit their applications the old way and not through E-Safe.
Any advice is greatly appreciated:)
Thanks everyone. I was planning on going to a border crossing east of where I live. But from what I've read on here, it sounds like the Rainbow Bridge Crossing is the best option. I'll have to change this on my application.
It would make sense to make an appointment, if that's what's required. I remember the good o'le days where you went to the Pearson Airport at 5am and waited for hours & hours, only to be met by a crusty customs officer. The E-Safe platform is excellent in my opinion, and the icing on the cake would be a specific date and time to make this uber efficient.
So my plan will be to drag a friend along with me and treat him to a night in Niagara Falls for his painandsuffering, lol.
Now you know my plans, any specific input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks all
Some great advice for you.
Tell us where you plan to submit the waiver and we can give you SPECIFIC advice. No Airports, but most land borders are taking eSAFE applications.
@philmeup12 When we finished the esafe application, they told us by email we only had 45 days to take the hard copies/paperwork to the crossing of our choice and get the biometrics done. We went to Blue Water bridge on August 14 but have not heard any results yet.

Also to add, we did NOT need an appointment.
@philmeup12 pre clearance offices like Pearson for example isn’t processing waiver application. @gabby this may depends on the port of entry. An appointment is needed at the Rainbow Bridge crossing from my experience and a few other crossing mentioned in other threads on this forum.
