He tried to cross 3 days later at the Thousand Islands. He was born in Pakistan.

The officer at the border saw he was with a couple of friends. He started questioning him all over again. He kept showing the officer the letter that EXPLICITLY said he was granted entry, and the officer ignored it and turned him away.

Another client recently was denied because he had too many clothes and luggage for just a trip, it was clear to the officer that he was going to stay longer than intended.

IN case #1 it is clear it is based either on the officers lack of knowledge that he was given permission, or racism. He actually accused him of being someone else despite proper ID.

In case #2 the applicant is also applying for a Green Card, so he should have been more cautious with how his trip "looked" in terms of giving the appearance of having too many personal items with him for a trip.

Just an update on a busy Monday on what some people go through at the border even WITH permission.

Replies (recent first):

That's terrible. Was he hit with a new ground of inadmissibility?
