Greetings, I hope this is the right place to post this.

I had filed through e-safe earlier this year, and for various reasons, I could not make it for my biometrics.

Now, that e-safe seems to be login.gov, and I never migrated, am I out of luck?

I ask, as I received an email that there has been an update to my file (I am maybe guessing it was closed?), but I cannot access it to see what it is.

Is there any way to find out?

If you read my posts, you will see that I have said airports are no longer doing waivers, and Pearson (which I went to every Tuesday) stopped doing waivers before Covid started. Why? The supervisor told me under Trump, lack of funding. He didn't have enough officers.

I was addressing the WRONG information about Nexus. Which waiver holders CANNOT get.

I'm glad you did some research this time. Too bad the April 2023 article about the opening of 1 Nexus office has nothing to do with the processing of I-192 Waiver applications at airport CBP offices. Better luck next time. And btw, your posts aren't helping anyone here get their Waiver. Maybe go troll a Nexus blog.

The NEXUS enrolment centre at Pearson is reopening April 24
The Toronto Pearson NEXUS Enrollment office is located in Terminal 1, on the Departures level and the hours of operations are:

Monday to Friday: 8:00 am to 8:00 pm
Saturday and Sunday: 8:00 am to 2:00pm
Travel is back in full swing and now getting to the United States is even easier.

The NEXUS enrolment centre at Pearson will open on April 24. If your application has been conditionally approved, you can now book your interview using the TTP scheduler.

Canadian airport enrolment centres will be staffed with Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) officers, who will complete the Canadian portion of the NEXUS interview. The U.S. interviews will be conducted by Customs and Border Protection (CBP) at Canadian airport preclearance locations for applicants departing to the U.S. This U.S. interview can be completed at any Canadian airport where the U.S. is currently conducting preclearance operations.

NEXUS offices reopening is an important step to expanded trusted traveller programs in Canada that will make travel easier!

I don't know where you are getting this information. Sounds quite frankly as if you simply are looking to bash the government.

Your information on migration is incorrect.

Here are OPEN Nexus locations. Also March 2020 is basically when everything shut down for Covid.

It seems the window to do the eSAFE migration from the CBP server to the GOV server is now closed 10 days after the last email was sent on August 28, 2024.

They sent multiple emails saying everyone had to do this and it looks like anyone who didn’t do this can no longer access the system and migrate their old CBP account to the new GOV server, whether or not they received any emails.

They have removed the 28-page eSAFE Migration Guide PDF as well as the email to their Support staff from the login page.

Hopefully, they will manually move the filed and paid-for I-192 applications over to the new GOV server when asked to do so by email.

Or, they could demand $590.00 USD and the completion of an I-824 form to upload a copy of the 2-page Waiver Certificate onto a user's new GOV eSAFE account, 30 days after they remove it from the new account that cannot be accessed.

Btw, many companies like banks upgrade/switch to better more secure servers all the time and all you get is an email saying the website will be down for a couple of hours, usually in the middle of the night, while they do the migration. The next day, everything works as it did before. However, for some reason, this was done differently and has caused a lot of frustration... sort of like the ArriveCan app.

This could be another example of a government bureaucracy that creates high-paying government jobs deemed to be a Make Work Project. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Make-work_job.

All because U.S. Customs (airport) and Nexus offices closed almost 5 years ago (since March of 2020) after USCBP officers were denied permission to carry loaded firearms in airports and be immune to prosecution if used. We believe the offices will not open unless and until the Canadian Federal Government gets a Transport Minister who can resolve the issue by negotiating with USCBP to carry Tasers instead... which can be used to kill people. But we have no reason to believe that will happen until after the next Canadian election, as Canada has had 3 Transport Ministers since 2015, all under Justin Trudeau. After that, we'll just have to wait for DHS to purchase and install upgraded eSAFE fingerprinting equipment at the major airports.

Casper, I think it is just waivers filed before June 6, 2024 that are still waiting approval. Any waivers filed after June 6, 2024 do not have to migrate.

Does everyone have to migrate or just people with waivers outstanding or in progress?

We have a lot of clients so my staff and I will have to put in some extra hours to migrate everyone still not done.
