Interesting Waiver Story - Homeland Security always gets paid

J Rogersposted 1 year ago

A client applied for a waiver, gave me his credit card, and was granted a 5 year waiver.

He then reversed the charges on his credit card. Homeland Security immediately revoked his waiver.

We re-applied, and he of course explained it was a mistake.

After we re-applied and paid again, he got a letter in the mail demanding the money for the waiver that was revoked...plus interest.

They did not say so, but I assume his waiver being granted depends on him paying this, and you can't pay by credit card, it must be by certified cheque or other ways that date back to 1985.

So rest assured, Homeland Security is making you pay for their time and effort, not the waiver.
