Fingerprints and Form C216C

Demun98posted 2 months ago

Hello, I'm applying for my 3rd I-192 waiver on my own, first one I was granted 1 year, 2nd one was 5 year...both successful. I just have a couple questions if anyone can help? First I was digitally fingerprinted in an RCMP detachment and recieved my form C216C but no fingerprints. My question is : Do I need to upload actual fingerprints (ink) ? Done by a professional criminal finger print entity? Or can DHS access them digitally when reviewing my eSafe application?

2nd Question is : What is acceptable for ties to current country? I was planning on submitting a lease for the home I'm renting and of course a letter of employment.

3rd Question is : I am planning on flying to Hawaii for a cruise if and when I get my waiver but the port of entry I need is not listed on the eSafe site so I put the point of entry where I plan to get processed and fingerprinted by CBP to complete the application before 45 days...Is that correct? I'm not sure what to put as I had to put Hawaii as the destination and length of stay with date. Any help is appreciated...Thank you

@Demun98 On a possession charge, the essential elements are

-time
-drug test/drs letter
-good personal letter. Show an awareness that drugs are bad, that you NO LONGER USE DRUGS OF ANY KIND INCLUDING LEGAL WEED

Remember, the criminal record is only part of the equation. Show STABLE employment and that you have a stable place to live and don't say red flags in why you want to go to the US. For example, my mom lives in Florida and is in poor health. NO. That's a RED FLAG. If she falls ill you will NOT leave, obviously.

It was my first application, it was an old charge from when I was young and I was flagged at border in Montana. It was a simple possession charge and was suspended sentence $200 fine so not sure why only one year granted first time..perhaps the clerk was having a bad day?

@Demun98 What is your situation? Just trying to get an idea of why you only got a 1 year on your first application
