E-File and Border Visit Only Way To Apply for a Waiver now?

Ken Sutherlandposted 2 months ago

Can you still mail in forms with prints from a police station?
Or is only option to go to one of the border locations using the E-Safe process?

Also, I am in the US with an expired waiver.
Anyone know if I can go to the border and apply through E-Safe.
Im worried I may have to leave the US and apply from the Canadian side.
I have had many waivers, Im getting them at 5 year lengths.
I just missed renewing mine, as I am in the US working in a TN visa, which is good for another 2 years.

I would apply for the waiver through e-Safe, then proceed to a border for the final part.

Here is the problem....you are allowed to be the US with a TN visa...as long as you have a valid waiver.

I don't know what action you SHOULD take, but technically I think you have broken the rules.

The longer this situation goes, the worse the result will be. Your are risking getting NO waiver, and therefore no TN visa for a number of years.

I also want to point out that TN visa's are NOT my specialty, so I am unaware of any exception to needing a waiver once it is issued.
