Got your I-194?

Reply here with how long it took. Months, weeks, days...

Replies (recent first):

Im not sure what's faster or not, I applied Detroit/Windsor Tunnel both times and the fist one was 90 days the renewal is still ongoing almost 203 days.. So my take is its just random and will get processed when it get processed. Unfortunately I just canceled Disney for the kiddies because Friday is the last day or lose my deposit... I guess its Karma for screwing up when I was 20yrs old and 20 years later still paying for it... certainly this life lesson will be used to explain to my kids why I canceled disney and how your choices can affect you later in life. GOOD luck to all.

Is there any border crossing that this group feels is faster than others? I always use Queenston/Lewiston and I wait long times. I've been getting waivers since 1994. And the length of waiver (1 or 5 year) literally depends on the officer processing your submission. End of Feb will mark 11 months on this one and counting. (Longest wait ever for me). I always found submitting at Pearson airport got processed fast, but the setup there is terrible for lining up.
Stay positive folks..... they always get approved ...eventually

@Philly - What do you mean by final action has been taken? Usually it changes over to a notice saying " a decision was mailed on XX/XX/XXXX to the address on file"
Would you mind quoting what it was that your most recent email said?
Thanks!

@Philly That was the first response I got, two weeks later they replied to my second inquiry final action has been taken. Good luck!

@puzzled Congrats!! Did you get this response while the waiver was on the way to you? :“Your application was received and is being processed. Due to the individual circumstances of each waiver application, there is not a set timeframe."

Philly replied 9 years ago   #218

@LeeVing thanks. It was my first, valid for one year. My fingers get all cracked in the winter time and don't have any prints on a few fingers so I am probably going to have to wait to get my rcmp check done again.

@puzzled Congrats - Was this a renewal ? How long Valid for ? I applied on Aug 24th and still waiting. Now will need to wait until Tuesday not in the mail today ...

@Lee Ving:
Your timeline and mine are almost same. I am also going to Disney world in March. Good luck, yours on the way too!

3legit2quit replied 9 years ago   #214

I applied for renewal end of August and still waiting as well - 5 months and two weeks - I hope it comes soon -- Patiently waiting and nervously waiting as I have Disney booked in March

Lee Ving replied 9 years ago   #213

@Figman So you have had multiple renewals and it's been 11 months for you? The ARO is a black box...

Philly replied 9 years ago   #212

Closing in on 11 months waiting for a renewal. Never had to wait this long in 20 years. I hope I get a 5 year. Otherwise I'll have to submit my next renewal the day I get this one if it's going to be this long a wait.
