Filed using E-SAFE, and went in for Biometrics as requested. E-SAFE status is still only showing "paid" days later, and still displaying the message that I have 45 days to submit Biometrics. Is this normal?

I initially returned to the border, but was assured everything was fine. I then received another email stating I had not yet completed Biometrics, and status was still not updated to received by ARO. I then emailed aroinquirywaiver@cbp.dhs.gov, and received a response the next day saying that the application was in queue, and to disregard any further messages regarding Biometric requirements, status still was not updated to submitted. I received two more emails after that stating that Biometrics were not complete, and application would be discarded. After the 45 day Biometric submission period expired, the status updated to submitted.
Still no email or status update. I did send an email to the inquiry address they provide on ESAFE, and received a prompt response from them stating that it was on file with the Admissibility Review Office, and to ignore any subsequent emails relating to biometric requirements. Still makes me nervous though.
