Timelines,
-There is NO reason for delays, the backlog is clearly cleared and finished. I can only assume they have less workers adjudicating.
-They are being picky. They are asking for transcripts when court docs are provided, they are also in some cases, taking shots in the dark such as "tell us about this manslaughter charge" when the client has no manslaughter charge.
-They are NOT giving the same "level" of waiver as before Trump. Waivers are much more likely to be 1 year waivers, and if you have multiple 1 year waivers, you might get a 2 year instead of a 5 year waiver.
-There are 2 timelines.
One, illustrated by a client who was a 5 year re-application went to the border in November. 8 months.
The other, is about 12 months, and some re-applications and ALL the first time applications are on this timeline.
Remember, Waiver applications are WAY DOWN. Fewer people want to travel to the United States from Canada.
Personally, I now only do not want to spend money there, but it turns out these ICE guys that are wearing masks and grabbing people? Many of them were Pardoned January 6th rioters. Seriously. Kristy Noem finally admitted it. That is why they have NO ID and cover their faces. They are not accountable to ANYONE. They simply have a daily quota.
Until they sort out their country, (I guess when Trump has stolen at least a trillion dollars, because its CLEAR that is all these tariffs are about) I can;t blame people for not wanting to go there. The Canadian Government CANNOT help you if you are grabbed.
I have had less stories from clients recently about travelling to the US but the biggest factor seems to be.....far fewer Canadians are GOING to the US.
My client who was harassed at LaGuardia was asked to do a DNA swab, (remember he was already IN the US and was LEAVING) and they had accused him of having a "fake" September Letter. Well. when they found out it was real, it upset them. So they tried to harass him in other ways, so he simply refused to cooperate. They demanded a DNA swab, he said "no way. Arrest me if you want but NO."
They basically told him he was refused and he left....which changed nothing since he was in the DEPARTURE LOUNGE waiting to get on his flight back to Canada.
Then show your actual e-SAFE results. Instead of giving estimates, do what we all are doing, and show the PROOF.

@J Rogers I know John has a really weird fetish about fear mongering but his most recent waiver application is not 8 months. November 8 to June 4 is: 6 months and 27 days.
That type of fabrication is not something I’d want from someone submitting a waiver for me. I’m happy to provide people with a more professional, accurate waiver service.
