Is form G-325A still needed?

TrishInTOposted 5 years ago

Preparing my third waiver and the I-192 application form seems to have changed. Some of the questions from G-325A now seem to be there. Does this mean that G-325A (biographic information) is no longer needed?

Replies (recent first):

I am not sure where my answer disappeared to. Again, in Ontario at every border, no G325-A needed. As Michelle has indicated although not really needed, some borders are still asking for it.

If you go to the border and they ask for it, you can always point out that the information is already contained within the new waiver.

Well at our borders the guard told me that it is no longer needed and we have not submitted one for the longest.

I am still sending the G-325 with my clients to any Border crossing in Saskatchewan, as the Custom Officers here are still requesting it.

@TrishinTO I am finding 60 days or less in most cases is the standard time.

@TrishInTO A 5 year waiver of inadmissibility is pretty standard but it really depends on your status (why you were denied). As for waiver processing times, currently looks to be between 40 - 80 days with some getting theirs even close to 30 days. If you want to expedite you could always try e-SAFE, online and then at a land point of entry preclearance for your biographics.

@WaiverCan Thank you so much! As mentioned this will be my third US waiver renewal. I've been reading and it looks like 5 years isn't out of the question. Does anyone know what the i192 waiver processing times are? Hoping to go to somewhere sunny in March!

Most of the biologic information is now included in the new form I-192. Instructions for filling it out are here on the US Customs & Protection site. https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-192instr.pdf
