Are waiver applications done through e-safe now ? Or do you still have to physically go to a port ? What are chances of September letter for indictable theft under 5?

Replies (recent first):

You should get the receipt within seconds and the call the appropriate port and make an appointment. @ginette eudes

Good point. One more thing for everyone, you can only go to certain ports for E-SAFE. If you go to the wrong port, they will try and print off your e-safe form and mail it all in via snail mail and you don't want that to happen. My GF ran into that. They did all her biometrics and everything and then were going to postal mail it. Luckily we caught it and got her to go to an E-SAFE port instead. We lost a week because of having to go to the correct port. The CBP officers at the non-esafe ports don't always know how everything works. Always be skeptical of what you are told and verify for yourself!

Here is a link to the E-SAFE ports. Note that in your E-SAFE application only designated ports should show up in the drop-down for selection.

Well put, so let me just expand on your answer.

Homeland Security only wants eSAFE now. Once you pay, you have 45 days to get to the SAME PORT you put on your application. Call the Port and make sure you go when they want (some have appointments and some do not need them)
You bring the original documents you scanned with you, as well as your passport.

To my knowledge, not a single airport is doing this. Land borders only.

Applications are done through E-SAFE AND you still have to physically go to the port. E-Safe gets it into their system and waivers done through e-safe get completed faster. But after e-safe filing, you have I think 40 days or something to go to the port you designated in e-safe and get your fingerprints done, DNA swab, etc.
