Applying soon for 2nd waiver. 1st was 5yrs and charges were nearly 20 years old.

Now have a pardon and have
- “normal” and “privacy act” (FYI they now call those “personal use”) fingerprints
- the pardon details and
- everything else from the first waiver application

I am waiting for 2 letters from friends in the USA to arrive.

I have a planned USA weekend in early June and will have letters and all other pieces to the puzzle by then. I used a company to file for me first time so I didn’t upload and see the timeline that time.

1) once I upload everything to eSafe how long until I can sign? And then pay? And then show up for processing at a border - would it be realistic to think I could upload and pay and then a week later go to the border?

2) any updates on social media in the application? Do I have to scrub everything I’ve ever said about him and throw away the champagne just waiting for the big beautiful obituary?

Replies (recent first):

My USA references are friends I’ve traveled internationally with and they were happy to see me at events in the USA. I have Canadian references too.
If they look at my visits they will see I’ve never stayed more than 6-7 days and most are 2-4 days.
When I paid the outrageous $30ish fee this time they adjusted its validity back 5 days as that’s when my waiver expires.
1 day - got it. Will probably be a few days in reality but not a week.
And no worries for social media?

86-97 days for the reapplication, and your remarks are HILARIOUS.

Once you pay them, wait 1 day. Then you can go. Also, after you go to the border, CHECK to make sure they UPDATED it to "Submitted to ARO".

You don;t have to wait a week.

I have had 2 instances at Rainbow Bridge now, where the clients have to go back. One is headed there RIGHT now because on Sunday he hits 45 days and he went on Monday....no update still and of course on the phone they are telling him BS about "its fine". NO.

Don't forget, you old waiver is good until the LAST day.

Don't use Americans as references OR spend a lot of time on them. TIES TO CANADA. Ties to the US is a RED FLAG because they think you will "have a place to stay". That is how overstays HAPPEN.
